REFERENCES
Brickwork begins to fail when water entrainment (saturation) occurs within the wall system. The cycles of freezing and thawing work their way into the brick unit and break down their solidity. Water and wind erosion eventually wears down the dense exterior face of the brick or the mortar joints between the brick - making them porous. Obvious indications of brick deterioration would be spalling brick (where the faces of the brick have begun to fall away or "shale"), damp or dark areas on the wall area (a sort of sponge effect), indicate water penetration into the brick unit etc. There are numerous causes and resolutions to brick deterioration, you need to find the right one for your building.
We can recommend several options for any project that will renew the exterior envelope and keep your building in top shape.
More importantly, we can resolve the issue.
